From the gallery to the café table
Journey Pal is the easiest way to produce and distribute translated audio and text for visitors. Museums email Journey Pal the exhibit or museum information they wish to share, and Journey Pal returns them QR codes which visitors can scan.
MenuPal brings the same idea to cafés, restaurants, bars and hotel restaurants. Guests scan the QR code on the table and the menu opens in the language their phone is set to. No app, no sign up, no waiting.
Translations that explain the dish
A word for word translation of "flat white" or "kūmara hash" helps nobody. MenuPal keeps the name of the dish and explains what it is, the way a good waiter would. Venues write the menu once, in their own words, and can review any translation before or after it goes live.
Allergens guests can trust
Allergen and dietary labels use carefully checked wording in every language, not a fresh machine translation for each dish. A guest with a sesame allergy sees "sesame" in their language, every time.
What venues get
- A QR code for every table, ready to print as table tents or cards
- Menus for breakfast, lunch, drinks or the wine list, shown at the right time of day
- A sold out switch that works from a phone in the middle of service
- Import an existing menu from a PDF or photos
- Simple insights: scans, popular dishes and the languages guests read
